About Argonite Partners

Argonite Partners was founded on the premise of providing institutional-level M&A advisory services to businesses of all sizes. In 2019, after nearly a decade of working at large banks, Brennan Igoe left his M&A Investment Banking role and launched Argonite Partners. Leveraging years’ worth of experience and relationships, Argonite Partners fills a “gap in the market” by providing small and mid-sized business clients with connections to capital sources typically accessible only via larger institutions. Brennan’s banking career includes roles at Harris Williams & Co. in Boston, MA, and Citizens Capital Markets M&A group in Cleveland, Ohio.

Argonite now provides a broad range of strategic advisory services including both sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, restructurings, debt placement and more. But we are more than just transaction advisors. We often partner with business owners months or even years before a transaction, making sure that the preparation and timing is optimized ahead of the ultimate deal.

Brennan Igoe

FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Brennan Igoe is the Founder and Managing Director of Argonite Partners, which he started to work directly with business owners on transactions that are often under the radar of larger advisors. Brennan’s M&A career has spanned multiple firms including Citizens Capital Markets, Western Reserve Partners, and Harris Williams & Co., where he got his start in Boston focusing on software transactions. Prior to working in M&A, Brennan held operating roles in the technology and real estate industries.

Brennan received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was a Tuck Scholar, and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University. He currently serves as Board Treasurer of Medwish, a non-profit organization that sends excess medical supplies to areas in need. Brennan lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with his wife and three children, where he enjoys playing tennis, tinkering with smart-home devices, and cheering for his kids at countless sporting events.

Derek Oster

VICE PRESIDENT

Derek Oster is a Vice President with Argonite Partners, where he focuses on M&A advisory (buy- and sell-side), private placements of debt and equity, and strategic consulting.

Derek began his career in the Valuation Advisory group at Stout, following which he served as a Manager within Marcum LLP’s Valuation, Litigation & Transaction Services group concentrating in business valuation, litigation advisory, complex damages analysis and modeling, strategic/exit planning, and M&A (including buy- and sell-side due diligence). Derek has earned the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) professional license through the American Society of Appraisers (designated in business valuation), as well as the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Derek majored in Finance at Miami University’s Richard T. Farmer School of Business. He resides in Shaker Heights, Ohio, where he enjoys spending time with his family (including his dog, Tartan), golfing and NBA teambuilding.
